On January 30, it was announced that Austin Theory would defend the United States Championship in an Elimination Chamber match. The Qualifying matches for the US Title began on that night’s edition of Monday Night Raw, with Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Johnny Gargano, and Bronson Reed earning their spots in the match by defeating Chad Gable, Baron Corbin, and Dolph Ziggler, respectively.
The last two qualifying matches took place on the following week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, where Damian Priest and Montez Ford earned their spots by defeating Angelo Dawkins and Elias, respectively.
Austin Theory defended the United States Championship against Bronson Reed, Montez Ford, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Johnny Gargano, and Damian Priest in an Elimination Chamber match. Seth Rollins and Johnny Gargano began the match. Theory entered third. Rollins and Gargano slammed Theory into the walls of a pod multiple times before Priest entered fourth. All four competitors traded shots before Rollins performed a Superplex and a Falcon Arrow on Priest for a nearfall.
Then, Bronson Reed entered fifth and dominated everyone in his path. Reed then performed a double Samoan Drop on Rollins and Gargano, and pinned Rollins for a nearfall. Reed then sent Priest into the chamber wall and followed up by slamming Priest into the pod. Priest then performed a Shoulder Tackle from the turnbuckles on Theory before sending him into the pod. Then, Montez Ford entered last and brought the fight to Reed. Ford then gained the upper hand on Theory. and attempted his own People’s Elbow on Theory, but Reed prevented it.
Theory then lifted Reed on his shoulders, only for Reed to counter into a Powerslam. Gargano then performed a Hurricanrana on Reed for a nearfall. After some action by Priest and Ford outside the ring, Ford performed a Crossbody from the roof of the chamber onto Rollins, Reed, Theory, Priest, and Gargano. Gargano, Ford, and Rollins teamed up to eliminate Reed, with Ford pinning him after From The Heavens. Gargano performed a Hurricanrana from the top of the pod on Rollins onto the other wrestlers. After Gargano dominated everyone else, Priest performed the Razor’s Edge on Gargano to eliminate him.
Ford took everyone out with Suicide Dives and performed From The Heavens on Theory, who got his knees up. Theory pinned him after The Stomp by Rollins outside the ring. Then, officials helped Ford out of the chamber. Rollins performed a Pedigree on Theory, but Logan Paul appeared suddenly and attacked Seth Rollins. Then, he delivered The Stomp on Rollins. Theory finished it off with A-Town Down on Rollins to retain the title.
