Ahead of the big IPL 2025 clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, April 20, MS Dhoni was seen joking around with former teammate Deepak Chahar even playfully pretending to hit him with a bat!
The light-hearted moment showed the strong bond the two still share. Deepak made his IPL debut under Dhoni back in 2016 with the Rising Pune Supergiant and continued with the team in 2017. The duo reunited at CSK in 2018 and shared many successful seasons together.
Chahar stayed with CSK until 2024 before joining Mumbai Indians this season. During his time with the Super Kings, he played 76 matches and picked up 76 wickets becoming one of their key bowlers.

Though they’re now on opposite sides, it’s clear there’s still plenty of respect and strong bond between them.
