WWE SummerSlam 2023 premium live event fast approaching and it has been reported that The Eradicator Rhea Ripley will defend her WWE Women’s World Championship against current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez.
On the lastest edition of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley retained her title against Natalya in a highly entertaining matchup. Following the match, Rhea Ripley continued attacking Natalya but the new women’s tag team champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan came down to the ring to stop Rhea Ripley.
Following these brief interaction of Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez on Monday Night Raw, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reported that it now looks “like they’re going to do Rhea vs Raquel” at SummerSlam.
Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez are the former rivals in WWE NXT and faced each other in couple of matches. Raquel faced Ripley on October 28th, 2020 edition of Halloween Havoc, in which she lost. Later, at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6th, 2021, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Rhea Ripley in a Last Woman Standing match, ending their feud. It’s also Rhea Ripley’s last match in NXT. Now, it seems that WWE planning huge match between them at Summer Slam 2023. If it happens, let’s see who will gain upper hand again.
