The current Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is currently at the top of the women’s division on WWE Monday Night Raw. According to a new report, WWE has big plans for Rhea Ripley at Summer Slam as she is set to defend her title against former rival Raquel Rodriguez.
Earlier this year, Rhea Ripley set record at the Royal Rumble. She won the match and later picked Charlotte Flair as her opponent for the WrestleMania due to their history. Charlotte Flair had previously defeated Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36.
However, at this year’s WrestleMania Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair and won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. According to a new report from Xero News, WWE has long-term plans for Rhea Ripley, and she will defend her title against Raquel Rodriguez at WWE SummerSlam 2023.

On the recent edition of Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez had an intense staredown after Mami brutally attacked Natalya ahead of their scheduled match. In 2021, Ripley faced Rodriguez in a Last Woman Standing match in NXT before moving to main roster.
