WWE News: Charlotte Flair Cancelled Plans At Summer Slam, Becky Lynch Discusses Retirement Plans

Charlotte Flair Cancelled Plans At Summer Slam

The current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair recently had an interview with Bleacher Report and discussed about several topics. While speaking, Charlotte Flair revealed that there were plans to have a match between her and Rhea Ripley at Summer Slam, but Nikki A.S.H MITB cash-in forced to change plans.

“I think there would have been another match after our Money in the Bank [match] had Nikki A.S.H. not cashed in on me. I think this is now the ending to that. I think Money in the Bank would’ve probably led to another, but then you have this crazy cash-in out of nowhere and we just never crossed paths again… In hindsight, I had no control of that. I’m saying it now: I don’t have control. I’m so flattered that people think I had that much power. I’m very flattered, but trust me, I don’t.” (H/T: Bodyslam

Back in 2020, Charlotte Flair faced Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 36, in which she defeated Rhea Ripley and won the NXT Women’s Champion. Now, The Queen Charlotte Flair set to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.
