Ronda Rousey Reportedly Dealing With Major Injury, Original Plans At WrestleMania 39

WWE WrestleMania 39 is just few days away, but it appears that the former SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has been handed some tough injury news.

The Rowdy Ronda Rousey was seen on WWE Friday Night SmackDown wearing a brace on her arm before it was announced that she would team up with Shayna Baszler as part of the Women’s Showcase match at WrestleMania 39.

According Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports, Ronda Rousey broke a bone in her forearm.

“She’s got a broken radius bone, which is a forearm bone.” (H/T: Ringsidenews)

Ronda Rousey will be part of a match with seven other women, which means that she could get away with not even entering the match if Shayna Baszler can get the win for her team.

Ronda Rousey Was Originally Set To Face Rhea Ripley At WrestleMania 39

According to the Fightful Select reports, the original plans for Ronda Rousey were to held the SmackDown Women’s Championship until WrestleMania 39. She would have defended the title against Raquel Rodriguez at the Royal Rumble and then faced the Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner, Rhea Ripley, in a dream match at WrestleMania 39. 

Instead, The Baddest Woman on the Planet Ronda Rousey chose to work the Women’s Showcase tag team match at WrestleMania with Shayna Baszler. 

Meanwhile, the plans for Charlotte Flair was to return as part of the Monday Night Raw roster and start a feud with Bianca Belair.
