On the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Hall of Fame Lita returned back to blue brand after 20 years to discuss why she decided to appear at the upcoming Royal Rumble 2022 premium live event. Now, we got some backstage details about Lita’s appearance on SmackDown.
PWInsider reported that WWE Hall of Gamer Lita was not scheduled to be a part of the SmackDown till a day before the show. Company decided to bring her to the show in last minute and they even purchased a plane ticket so that the former Women’s Champion could be on the show.
Lita’s last in-ring appearance came on October 29th, 2018 episode of Monday Night Raw, in which she teamed up with Trish Stratus, Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley to defeat Mickie James, Alicia Fox, and the Riott Squad.
On her appearance on recent edition of SmackDown, Lita hinted that she had one more run left. But SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair interrupted her and had a confrontation, and that led Lita to hit Twist of Fate to Flair to end the segment.
