WWE NXT Results (Jan 13th, 2021) – Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Kicks Off, Pete Dunne Attacks Finn Balor
Tonight’s Wednesday Night NXT is live from Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. Vic Joseph welcomes us and joined by Wade Barrett, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix also joined remotely.

– Candice LeRae (w/ Indi Hartwell) defeated Shotzi Blackheart via Pinfall.
– A black SUV arrived at backstage, Pete Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch steps out.
– NXT Champion Finn Balor in the ring and talks about his match against Kyle O’Reilly at New Year’s Evil. Finn praises Kyle O’Reilly for his performance at match and music hits, Pete Dunne & NXT Tag Team Champions Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan came out. Pete says Finn is still champion because he didn’t take that title, there’s no more waiting on line for the title.
The big brawl breaks out, they all triple teamed on Finn Balor. Then, Kyle O’Reilly came out for the save. Pete Dunne took on Kyle O’Reilly, then, Adam Cole & Roderick Strong came out and took out everyone and stood tall in the ring.
– Johnny Gargano at backstage for an interview, he says he will beat Dexter Lumis tonight and then, ‘The Way’ will win Men’s and Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team classic. Austin Theory walks up with a delivery and that envelope contains drawing of Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory. Gargano was upset by it and walks off, Theroy also followed him.
2021 MEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC ROUND 1 MATCH: THE GRIZZLED YOUNG VETERANS VS. EVER-RISE
Grizzled Young Veterans made their way to the ring and cuts a promo about their debut. They says 2021 is theirs and they gonna win it all. After winning tournament, they will soon become the Tag Team Champions in NXT.
NXT General Manager William Regal appeared on big screen and officially kicks off the tournament.
The Grizzled Young Veterans defeated Ever-Rise via Pinfall.
– Raquel Gonzalez cuts a promo about Last Woman Standing Match against Rhea Ripley and says she is now focused on NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.
– McKenzie Mitchell at backstage with Shotzi Blackheart, Blackheart talks about first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and she cuts a promo about Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. Ember Moon appears and says it’s isn’t a just tournament but they are going to make history and Shotzi howls.
– Johnny Gargano defeated Dexter Lumis via Pinfall. After the match, Dexter Lumis attacks Theory, Gargano makes save and double teamed on Lumis. Then, Kushida came out and attacked Johnny Gargano. Lumis attacks Theory and Kushida holds Gargano at ringside.
– McKenzie Mitchell at backstage with Pete Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions. Pete says Kyle O’Reilly puts himself between he and NXT Title, it’s time to take out O’Reilly.
– NXT aired the Wade Barrett sit down interview with Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa to promote next week’s Fight Pit match between them.
– McKenzie Mitchell at backstage with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong. O’Reilly says he isn’t worried about Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, he will be at ringside for Undisputed Era’s match.
2021 MEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC ROUND 1 MATCH: MSK VS. JAKE ATLAS AND ISAIAH “SWERVE” SCOTT
MSK(formerly known as The Rascalz in Impact Wrestling) defeated Jake Atlas & Isaiah Swerve Scott via Pinfall.
– Xia Li defeated Enchantment Talent via Pinfall. After the match, Mystery Woman signals Li to attack her opponent and Ki destroys her.
2021 MEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC ROUND 1 MATCH: THE UNDISPUTED ERA VS. BREEZANGO
The Undisputed Era defeated Breezango via Pinfall. During the match, Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan attacked Kyle O’Reilly, Finn Balor came to save Kyle O’Reilly. After the match, Undisputed Era checks on O’Reilly who lied down along with Finn Balor. Pete Dunne stares at NXT Champion Finn Balor and NXT goes off air.
