John Cena made his final Monday Night Raw appearance at Madison Square Garden, and it didn’t take long for the man he dethroned to crash the moment.
The November 17 episode opened with the new Intercontinental Champion soaking in a massive ovation. Fresh off completing the Grand Slam by beating Dominik Mysterio, Cena hit the ring and declared that the champ had arrived.
He barely got going before “Dirty” Dom marched out with the AAA Mega Championship draped over his shoulder. Still bitter from losing the Intercontinental Title, Mysterio claimed Cena was “handed a title shot” and had coasted on favors his whole career. He demanded a rematch on the spot.

Cena didn’t hesitate. He told Dom he was ready to wrestle on his final night on Raw and tossed it to the crowd, who roared for the match. Cena fired back with, “if you’re feeling froggy, jump.”
Dom backed off at the last second. He insisted he wouldn’t fight Cena in front of a hometown crowd and instead challenged him to a rematch at Survivor Series in San Diego. The MSG fans launched into a loud “shut the f*ck up” chant, which Cena jokingly translated as “choco fun cup.”
Cena accepted with a simple “no problem,” officially setting the Intercontinental Championship rematch for Survivor Series on November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego.
