Previously, it was reported that WWE had plans of bringing back Kurt Angle back for the rivalry between RK-Bro and The Alpha Academy but that idea never saw fruition. Now, there were other reports that WWE also had plans for Kurt Angle to travel to Saudi Arabia to take part in WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, there were discussions internally in WWE about bringing WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as a special guest referee for a match in Saudi Arabia at Elimination Chamber. But there were not details about which match he was supposed to officiate.
