Several names have been rumored for the upcoming Royal Rumble match and now, a former authority figure name also added to the rumored list of returns at Royal Rumble 2022.
According to the reports of Steve Carrier of Ringside News, former SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon is booked to be in the men’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday. However, this report also noted that there’s no confirmation on whether this would be a one-off appearance, or that would lead to a WrestleMania program for Shane McMahon.
“Shane McMahon will be in the 2022 Royal Rumble. No word on if he has a WrestleMania program, but we wouldn’t be surprised on that either,” wrote Steve Carrier.
Shane McMahon last WWE appearance came at last year’s WrestleMania, in which he faced The Monster Braun Strowman in a steel cage match. It was Braun Strowman who picked up a dominating victory over Shane McMahon.
