WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns set to defend his title against The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. According to the recent reports, company had huge plans for Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Day 1 that could have major implications for WrestleMania 38.

Recently, WWE has been hit with the another wave of COVID-19 and that raised a major concerns over the Day 1 pay-per-view match card. Several WWE superstars also missed the live events as well as latest edition of WWE Raw. Roman Reigns also not appeared on live events, which have raised concerns over his match at WWE Day 1.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that there were major plans for Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at Day 1 PPV. He noted that company is doing something big with the storyline at the event that is very important for WrestleMania, so, they doesn’t want Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to miss the show.
“Obviously, he’s gonna have something to do with the storyline on Saturday because I was essentially told that it was very very important for WrestleMania that Roman Reigns does not miss this show, that Lesnar does not miss this show, and that Heyman does not miss this show. His name was mentioned to me in that context so obviously, there’s something big going on there,” said Dave Meltzer. (H/T: WrestlingNews.co)
Recently, Roman Reigns have fired his special counsel Paul Heyman on SmackDown two weeks back and attacked him. Then, Brock Lesnar came out and tooo out Roman Reigns. On last week’s SmackDown, Paul Heyman addressed Reigns actions and fans are eagerly waiting to see what will happen at Day 1 pay-per-view.
