As per the previous reports, Daniel Bryan’s WWE Contract was expired on April 30th, 2021, following his match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns and now he’s free agent.
On last week’s Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan in Career vs. Title match and he’s banished from the blue brand according to the storyline. Many fans belived that Bryan may show up on WWE Raw or NXT but it looks like the five-time World Champion may be done with the company.

According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan is now legally cleared to show up on AEW next week. It was also noted that he could likely wrestle at Tokyo Dome if he doesn’t have any quarantine issues. Currently, he’s free to negotiate with everyone and WWE is trying hard to sign a deal with him.
“He could show up next week on Raw. He could legally show up next week on AEW. I actually think if we weren’t in a pandemic situation and without the quarantine issues that he’d probably be wrestling at the Tokyo Dome show, but we are. He’s free to negotiate with everyone and WWE was trying to sign him before the deal expired and that door is still very much open,” stated Dave Meltzer.
Daniel Bryan might comeback to WWE but he wants the deal on his own terms. It’s 100% not about the money but he wants to wrestle part-time with company. WWE can make the special agreements for his contract that is to Daniel Bryan’s liking very soon.
