Matt Hardy’s WWE Contract Going to Expire on March 1st. He hasn’t signed a new deal with WWE yet. WWE is seemingly offering a big things to Matt Hardy to be in WWE.
During PW Insider Elite audio Mike Johnson said that he believes Matt Hardy will stay with WWE. There have apparently been some talks about him working in NXT as part of the on-going negotiations as well.

“By the way we have had a lot of questions about Matt Hardy. His contract is scheduled to be up on March 1st which is this Sunday. A lot of people have asked me what he’s going to be doing, this is just my theory. I know that WWE has made a lot of overtures to him in the last could of weeks. There’s been some talk of him working in the NXT system somehow. My gut feeling is that Matt Hardy will probably stay.”

It was noted that Matt Hardy could leave WWE, but Johnson feels that Hardy will stay. He also noted that he hasn’t heard “any real buzz” about Hardy working for AEW.
The likelihood of Matt Hardy working for NJPW isn’t going to happen. He could still make good money on the indies, but at this point in his career he could also sign another deal with WWE for big money. We’ll have to see what he decides to do in about a week’s time.
