A legendary career is coming to an end as Meiko Satomura appears to have wrestled her final WWE match. According to a new report from Fightful Select, the Japanese icon’s bout against Bayley at a house show in July 2024 may have been her farewell match in the company.
Satomura, one of the most decorated female wrestlers in history, signed with WWE in 2020 and made a name for herself in NXT UK, where she held the NXT UK Women’s Championship. She later transitioned to NXT’s main brand in 2022, but her appearances became infrequent. Her last major WWE match took place at Roadblock 2023, where she unsuccessfully challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship.
