WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 2 Full Results, Winners And Highlights

WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 2 opens up with singer Jimmie Allin performing “America The Beautiful” on the stage. We cut to the WrestleMania cold open video with actor/comedian Kevin Hart. We’re now live from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California as Mike Rome introduces our hosts, The Miz and Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg. Miz hypes the show and talks about Night 1. Miz tells Snoop to get it started. Snoop asks if we can “fire it up!” and that’s it for the opening segment.

– Brock Lesnar defeated Omos via pinfall. At the closing moments of the match, Omos launches Lesnar into the turnbuckles but he hits the ring post when Lesnar side-steps. Omos is dazed as Lesnar hits the first German for a big pop. Lesnar with another big German suplex.

Lesnar with a third German suplex despite his lower back. Lesnar yells out for a big pop. Lesnar goes for the F5 but his back goes out and he collapses. Omos goes for his chokebomb but Lesnar slides out and nails the F5 for a big pop and the pin to win.

After the match, Brock Lesnar tries to stand up but he’s selling the lower back. Omos stumbles to the floor with MVP as Lesnar’s music starts up. Brock Lesnar stands tall for the crowd as we see Omos telling MVP he wants more. Lesnar exits the ring and pounds a fan at ringside, then heads up the ramp.

– Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya and Shotzi and Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville via submission in Women’s WrestleMania Showcase Fatal 4 Way match. At the closing moments of the match, Liv tags in and goes at it with Shotzi. They trade big offense and Liv hits the Codebreaker, then Ob-Livion but Baszler tags in and breaks it up, then takes Liv out. 

Ronda Rousey is legal now as she stands over Shotzi, who is laid out. Rousey, with a brace on her elbow, takes her time and talks trash before dropping down into the arm bar on Shotzi. Shotzi taps out for the finish. After the match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler stands tall and celebrates in the ring.

– We see highlights from Bobby Lashley’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal win on SmackDown. Lashley comes out to pose with the trophy on the stage now.

– Xavier Woods at backstage with his UpUpDownDown crew. They simulate tonight’s WWE Intercontinental Title match in WWE 2K23 and Drew McIntyre is the winner.

– GUNTHER defeated Drew McIntyre and Sheamus via pinfall and successfully retained his WWE Intercontinental championship in triple threat match. At the closing moments of the match, Drew knocks Sheamus back to the floor off the apron, then runs the ropes and hits a big dive over the top to the floor. Drew brings Sheamus back in to a “holy shit!” chant. Drew calls for the Claymore Kick now but Sheamus cuts him off with the Brogue. 

Drew kicks out just in time and the crowd goes wild, as does Titus. Fans rally as Sheamus and Drew slowly recover while GUNTHER is still down on the floor. Drew with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Sheamus with a big knee. Drew nails the Claymore out of nowhere but Sheamus kicks out. Drew and Sheamus trade shots from their knees now as fans go long. They fight to their feet and unload with big punches now, then big forearms. 

Sheamus with a Brogue out of nowhere but they both go down. Sheamus slowly rolls over to cover but GUNTHER flies off the top rope with a splash to break it up. GUNTHER powerbombs Sheamus on top of Drew, then powerbombs Drew for the pin to win and retain. After the match, GUNTHER stands tall with the title. The announcers and many in the crowd give him a standing ovation. GUNTHER raises the title in the air now as we see Drew and Sheamus down and trying to recover.

– Bianca Belair defeated Asuka via pinfall and successfully retained her Raw Women’s Championship. At the closing moments of the match, Bianca Belair scoops Asuka for the KOD but Asuka grabs the top rope. They go on and there’s a moment where Belair almost runs into the referee. Belair puts on the brakes as the referee turns to shield herself. Asuka spits her mist as Belair turns back around but she ducks it. The referee turned back around too quick and sees the mist but ignores it.

Asuka blocks the KOD mid-move and comes back up, taking Belair down into the Asuka Lock in the middle of the ring as fans go wild. Belair finally turns it over but Asuka rocks her. Belair powers Asuka up and nails the KOD for the pin to win and retain. After the match, Belair stands tall and continues her celebration as Asuka looks on.

– We see NFL player George Kittle at ringside. Sportscaster Al Michaels is also in attendance.

– Hosts The Miz and Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg are in the ring now. Miz announces 81,395 for tonight’s attendance, for a combined weekend attendance of 161,892. Miz addresses what happened with Pat McAfee and George Kittle on Night 1

Miz isn’t happy about being embarrassed. Snoop says his bad. Miz gets angrier now. Miz says he doesn’t go to Snoop’s studio and treat him like that. Miz says this is his WrestleMania… Snoop cuts him off and says wrong, homeboy, this is our WrestleMania, it belongs to the city. Snoop goes on and introduces Shane McMahon, who comes out to a big pop. Snoop says Miz is in trouble.

Shane gets emotional and thanks the fans, saying they don’t know how much that reactions meant to him. Shane McMahon shouts-out LA. Snoop says from one O.G. to another… can you take care of this guy? Miz tries to run away but Snoop won’t let him. There’s a referee in the ring now.

The bell rings as Shane McMahon rocks The Miz with a right hand to start. Shane with corner punches now. Shane ducks Miz and jumps over him but suddenly goes out when his knee/leg buckles. The referee checks on Shane as Miz paces around. Shane is hurt. They keep the camera on Miz while Shane is tended to.

Snoop finally enters the ring and drops Miz with a punch. Snoop asks Shane if he’s alright. Shane can’t believe Miz did that to his homeboy. Miz stumbles back up but Snoop nails another punch. Snoop then hits The People’s Elbow to Miz for the pin to win. After the match, Snoop celebrates as “Nuthin’ But a G Thang” plays. Shane was already taken away before the finish. Snoop poses in the corner and makes his exit.

– Edge defeated The “Demon” Finn Balor via pinfall in Hell In A Cell match. At the closing moments of the match, Edge with a huge Impaler DDT from up high on the ladder. Balor kicks out at 2. Edge brings more chairs and a table from under the ring. Edge stands the table up now but Balor beats him down with kendo sticks. Balor with chair shots to beat Edge onto the table now. 

Finn Balor goes to the top but then crawls to the top of the cage. Balor delivers a massive Coup de Grace from the top of the Cell but Edge moves and Balor goes through the table with his feet. Edge immediately hits a Spear after getting back up. The Demon kicks out at 2 and Edge can’t believe it. Edge snaps and unloads with chair shots. Edge yells at Balor and then nails a Con-Chair-To. Edge collapses on top of Balor for the pin to win. After the match, Balor and Edge are flat on their backs as the referee checks on them. Edge is now up and standing tall to a pop. The referee raises Edge’s arm in victory.

– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. She talks about how much this means and says she’s had the chance to face some amazing women but Asuka took her to the limit. She says mist aside, Asuka is an incredible fighter and at times she felt like she couldn’t keep fighting tonight but she had to remember this is her dream. Belair says tonight she became a 3-peat winner, and she will keep riding for those who ride for her because she is The EST of WWE. Braxton then introduces the Divas of Compton dancers from her entrance and they chant “EST of WWE!” while dancing around.

– Michael Cole shows us highlights from the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Mike Rome now introduces the Hall of Fame 2023 Class on the stage. Stacy Keibler is first, Andy Kaufman is next represented by his family, The Great Muta is next, Warrior Award recipient Tim White is next represented by his brothers, and finally Rey Mysterio comes out to a huge pop. Rome gets SoFi Stadium to give it up one more time for the 2023 Class.

– We get a promo for WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. Cole shows us fans chanting “Mania!” at a WrestleMania 39 Watch Party in the City of Brotherly Love.

– We get a video package for tonight’s main event between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for Undisputed WWE Universal championship.

– Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes via pinfall and successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Universal championship. At the closing moments of the match, Roman Reigns applied Guillotine with his legs around Cody’s body. The referee checks on Cody but he’s breaking free. Cody breaks free in a big shocker and fans pop big. Cody with rights and lefts while mounting Reigns. Cody kicks the referee and he goes down when Reigns ducks the pump kick. Reigns immediately nails a Superman Punch. Cody is knocked back into the ropes, then he drops Reigns and they both go down. 

Cody is up first but the referee is still down. Cody yells at Reigns to get up. Cody prepares for the Cross Rhodes but The Usos rush in from out of nowhere and drop Cody with a double superkick. The Usos then hit Cody with the 1D to boos. The Usos drag Reigns on top of Cody but new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Fans go wild as they rush the ring to attack The Usos. They take out The Usos, then Owens hits a Stunner on Reigns, and Sami hits a Helluva Kick to Reigns. 

The Usos attack Zayn and Owens again, then the two teams brawl to the back. Cody crawls for the pin as the referee wakes back up and makes the slow count. Reigns kicks out and everyone explodes and Heyman is beside himself. Reigns and Rhodes trade big strikes from their knees now, fighting to their feet as fans go along with each blow. The huge strikes continue for a minute or so. 

Cody blocks a Superman Punch and unloads with left jabs of his own as fans go wild. Cody with the Bionic Elbow and the right hand in a tribute to his father. Cody nails the Cross Rhodes, but holds Reigns and nails it again. Heyman is on the apron arguing with the referee. Solo comes back down, wearing a hoodie, and drops Cody with a Samoan Spike from the apron. Solo drops back down. Reigns gets up and runs the ropes to level Rhodes with a big Spear for the pin to win and retain.

After the match, Roman Reigns is still down. Solo is on the apron and he’s fired up. Heyman and Solo enter the ring as Reigns recovers. Solo helps Reigns out of the ring and up the ramp as Heyman clutches the belts. Cody is still in the ring. Reigns now poses on the ramp with the titles in the air as pyro explodes around SoFi Stadium. Solo raises his finger in the air while Heyman looks on. Heyman takes the titles back and starts praising The Tribal Chief, saying he is WrestleMania. Reigns, Sikoa and Heyman head up the ramp while Reigns plays to the crowd with one finger. WrestleMania 39 Night 2 goes off the air.
