Reported Update About WWE Signing Jay White and Kota Ibushi

Jay White, who was previously a top star in NJPW, left the promotion on February 18 after losing a Loser Leaves New Japan Match to Eddie Kingston at Battle in the Valley. Shortly after his contract expired, David Finlay put himself forward as the new leader of Bullet Club. Following his departure from NJPW, rumors have surfaced that White is in talks with both WWE and All Elite Wrestling.

According to WrestleVotes, a source that spoke with GiveMeSport, WWE is becoming increasingly confident about the possibility of Jay White signing with them if he continues to not show up in All Elite Wrestling. The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion’s future has been the subject of much speculation since his departure from NJPW, and it remains to be seen where he will end up.

“I heard recently from a source that the longer that Jay White doesn’t show up in Jacksonville, the more confident WWE is,” WrestleVotes said.

“The Game” Triple H also showing interest in signing Kota Ibushi. who is one of the most sought-after free agents in the wrestling industry. Ibushi’s contract with NJPW expired on February 1, 2023, leaving fans speculating about his next move. 

However, according to GiveMeSport, it seems unlikely that the 40-year-old wrestler will sign with WWE. The report suggests that Ibushi is not interested in signing a full-time contract with WWE or AEW, making his chances of signing with the global wrestling giant slim. Despite Triple H’s reported interest, it remains to be seen where Kota Ibushi will end up.
