The former Universal Champion Bray Wyatt released by WWE back in July this year due to budget cuts and this announcement shocked the WWE Universe. Now, we got some details about the backstage reaction to Bray Wyatt’s WWE release.
According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports, that almost 20 people within WWE reached out to him following Bray Wyatt’s release had said that there has to be something more to this release as The Fiend was a known money-maker for the company.
A big point of contention and frustration between Wyatt and WWE seemed to be WrestleMania, which didn’t go the way anyone expected — and there was no end game. Fans, staff, even other wrestlers were shocked.

This report also notes that the general feeling among the people Sapp spoke to was that they didn’t buy the company’s reasoning for Bray Wyatt’s release as the fact that he was an extremely popular character that sold a ton of merchandise for WWE.
