The former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston reportedly absent on this year’s WWE Summer Slam 2021 because he wasn’t cleared to wrestle. At Summer Slam, Xavier Woods had a segment with Miz and John Morrison but Kofi Kingston missed to be with his tag team partner.
According to the PWInsider, former Raw Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston absent at Summer Slam and this week’s Raw because he wasn’t cleared to perform. Kofi Kingston was originally set to be the part of Pure Life Purified Water promotional segment but he was taken off.
“For those asking about Kofi Kingston disappearing from WWE TV and not being part of Summerslam or Raw, PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that he is not currently cleared to perform. Kingston was originally slated to be part of the promotional segment pushing the Pure Life Purified Water brand with Xavier, dressed as another member of the NWO, but obviously that did not happen. He was not on the road this weekend.”
On this week’s Monday Night Raw, Xavier Woods faced The Miz in one-on-one match, which was won by Woods. Following the match, Miz turned on his tag team partner Morrison and attacked him.
