The Brahma Bull The Rock reportedly set to return to WWE at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. It was also reported that Survivor Series 2021 will take place at Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York. The Rock’s return definitely would be a huge boost to WWE.
On the recent edition of Mat Men Wrestling Podcast, Andrew Zarian reported that WWE is planning to bring back The Rock for Survivor Series 2021. He also noted that USA Network wants him on Monday Night Raw but The Rock’s return wouldn’t be limited to only red brand as he will go everywhere, floating between Raw and SmackDown.
“I can tell you, USA Network tentatively wants him on that Monday. By the way, he’s gonna go everywhere. This isn’t like a RAW storyline. He’s going to be on everything,” said Andrew Zarian.
So, it looks like WWE is using similar idea for the 16-time World Champion John Cena. He was set to appear on both Raw and SmackDown along with WWE live events to build up his Summer Slam 2021 match against Roman Reigns. Recently, company also released the full schedule of John Cena for the Summer.
It should be noted that this year’s Survivor Series will mark the 25th anniversary of The Rock’s WWE debut and it would be likely that WWE will build the event around him like how they did to The Undertaker in 2015.
WWE fans also expecting that The Rock might wrestle at Survivor Series 2021 in some capacity. But Andrew Zarian reported that he didn’t heard any plans of The Rock to wrestle at Survivor Series 2021 but there is hope that he might confront Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
“Adding to this since so many people asked me. I don’t expect him to wrestle at Survivor Series. It’s also the 25th anniversary of his WWE Debut,” wrote Andrew Zarian in his tweet.
