WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 Results: Rhea Ripley Retains Raw Women’s Championship

Rhea Ripley won the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 Night Two by defeating the Auska. On the following episode of Monday Night Raw, Charlotte Flair returned and cut a intense promo. Rhea Ripley and Asuka had rematch for the title on the same night but the match was ended in no contest after Charlotte Flair’s interference.

Then on next week’s Raw, Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair in singles match with distraction from Rhea Ripley. Following the loss, Charlotte Flair viciously attacked referee and Adam Pearce suspended indefinitely for her actions. After that week, WWE official Sonya Deville reinstated Charlotte Flair after her public apology to referee.

On May 6th episode of Raw, WWE announced the another rematch between Auska and Rhea Ripley for Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. Later, Charlotte Flair explained her case to Sonya Deville to add her to title match. Then, Sonya Deville adds Charlotte to the match and made it Triple Threat.

With the start of the match, Charlotte Flair goes after Asuka and tries to pin her. But Rhea Ripley goes and work on both the women. Every women showed their skills and got shine. We also saw the high flying spots during the match.

Charlotte Flair goes for her signature by high flying moonsault taking down both the women. Flair goes for double natural selection on Rhea and Asuka and tries to pin both the opponents like Roman Reigns did at WrestleMania 37 but Rhea Ripley kicked out.

At the closing moments, Asuka levels Rhea Ripley with big boot and goes on Flair for Auska lock. Flair fights off and turns into Figure four but Asuka blocks. Then, Asuka kicks Flair and Rhea Ripley, and sends Flair to the apron.

Rhea goes for Big boot on Asuka but she misses and hits Flair sending her to floor. Ripley immediately hits RipTide to Asuka and pins her to retain Raw Women’s Championship.
